ABOUT ME
I’m Gyulnaz Halil, a clinical psychologist and Ph.D. candidate with a deep passion for mental health and trauma recovery. With years of experience in clinical practice, I specialize in traumatic experiences and abuse, offering evidence-based therapy to support individuals on their healing journeys. My approach combines compassion with cutting-edge research, ensuring that each client receives personalized care that bridges theory and practice.
My educational journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Hacettepe University, followed by a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Groningen University, where I developed a solid foundation in psychological theory and evidence-based treatment methods. Currently, I am pursuing my Ph.D. in Psychology at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, focusing on trauma and abuse following their long-term psychological impact.
As the founder of ORTUS Psychotherapy and Counselling, I lead a team dedicated to providing psychological assessments, crisis counseling, individual and group therapies, and organizational support. I believe in the power of connection, and I strive to create a safe space where every individual feels heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
Outside of my practice, I engage in research, mentorship, and volunteer work, always seeking to contribute to the well-being of both individuals and communities. Fluent in several languages, including Bulgarian, Turkish, and English, I bring a diverse cultural understanding to my work, further enhancing my ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.
In my personal life, I find peace and inspiration in nature, which fuels my optimism and commitment to fostering resilience in others. Let’s work together to uncover your strength and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and hope.
